Back From the Dead?

No, not really. I'm still only partially unpacked from moving into a new place this past weekend. In addition to the move, I also had to scramble to meet the deadline for the Disney/ABC Writer's Fellowship. A deadline that was on THE VERY SAME DAY as the day I had to move.

In between packing all of my stuff (an act in which I finally resolved to divest myself from the closet full of Star Wars toys) and writing a spec script for "How I Met Your Mother", something had to give.

So to all both of you that still check this site, I apologize.

Expect posting to resume a pace more frequent than never with each subsequent box that I unpack.

Were you able to sell the Star War toys for billions on E-bay or did we beat them up too badly over the years for them to have any residual value?

Those battered old ones are divided between boxes in my attic and defending sections of my Dad's yard.

These are the newer ones Hasbro's been putting out. I bought a bunch from '95 to around 2000-2001 and they've been in a closet since the last time I moved, 4 1/2 years ago.

E-bay is a likely destination, or more likely, passed out to my friends' kids.

Ah, the eternal question: Send them to a good home, where they will be loved (and destroyed) as toys are supposed to be treated, OR sell them for filthy, filthy lucre to someone who is decades past childhood and will never take them out of the packaging.

Erin, little girls like Rancors, right?

I'm giving them away to friends' kids and saving some for my nieces, just in case.
